Veggie Culture is here for a reason: We believe we can solve problems
Chirag Goel
Chirag Goel I’m just a very simple person with strong values which I have learned over time from different experiences. I have been incredibly fortunate to take on some leading roles and make things happen. I’m the founder of Veggie culture LLP, this company is my dream come true. When I was in middle school I was taught about land erosion and global warming, however that time I didn’t understand it much but it definitely gave me a dream of a greener planet. At veggie culture we use hydroponic farming methods which simply reduces the amount of water used for growing crops. In addition, we promote agroforestry and bio-sequestration at our farms to cater a variety of different organic fresh fruits and vegetables to the consumers. These methods help fight the biggest environmental challenge of climate change and global warming as through our new methods we are continuously trapping carbon back into the soil which is where it truly belongs. My family has given me opportunities to fulfil my dreams and of others, therefore veggie culture makes sure to donate 5% of its harvest to underprivileged institutions. I’m entrusted by Ganga Dham Trust to be at a roll as cashier for our non for profit Dharamshala in Haridwar, where everyone one is treated with respect and provides shelter to holi traveler’s. I’m also a director at Durga Paper Board company, it’s a privilege to inherit a company which is over 3 decades old and trades in various paper products. At Durga Paper board company we encourage and help boost sales of paper mills which recycle paper to create various kinds of boards.

Why do we choose farming as a venture?
Fewer Miles
Local food has a significantly shorter supply chain meaning it travels less reducing carbon emissions and time to consumption.
Less Waste
With shorter distances to travel, produce lasts longer and has a greater chance of being used before being thrown away.
Fewer Days
Having a closer food source allows food to be consumed much sooner after harvest.
More Nutrition
Fewer days between harvest and consumption means produce is more nutritious and tastes better
